DONATE YOUR TIME: Volunteer!

Volunteers
are always welcome and appreciated. If you have an interest or talent, we can probably use it!

Opportunities include welcoming guests at the visitor services desk, live animal care, helping with building and grounds, being a birthday party host, and working on special events. All training is provided. See position details below.

Volunteers should be 16 years old or accompanied by an adult (we welcome parent child teams!). However, exceptions may be made for younger volunteers that are sponsored by an organization. All volunteers must complete an application. Click here to download an application.

Internships are available in animal care, exhibits, or marketing. Internships are unpaid and require an average of 15 hours per week over a period of three months. In addition to regular duties, interns complete a special project during their time at the museum.

Group service projects are also available, please contact Molly Holman Trickey at 815-895-9777.
