Kids' Night Out

In honor of Ladies Night Out, the MMNH is offering a fun event for kids so mom can take the night off. Kids will enjoy a scavenger hunt, animal presentation, and crafts. Ages 4 and up. Registration required, call 815-895-9777.

Museum Pride Luncheon

$2, plus museum admission

Museum Pride is designed for those ages 62 and better. We have a fascinating presentation by our featured speaker, Bob Bailey from Wild Birds Unlimited, and a tasty lunch in store for you in June. All are welcome; please register by calling 815-895-9777.

Summer Camp: Myth Busters
June 15-18
9-11:00 am - entering 1st-3rd grade
1-3:00 pm - entering 4th grade and up

Non-members: $60/child non-members
Members: $55/child members

Campers will investigate different nature-themed myths each day through a combination of hands-on experimentation and observation. The perfect camp for the kid who always wants to know "why?" Join Cameron Leith, Ph. D. as he discusses what we can learn about the human brain from fMRI scans. Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or fMRI, is a special type of scan that measures changes in blood flow and can help us understand aging, Alzheimer's, and strokes.
