MEETING/RENTAL SPACE
The Midwest Museum of Natural History is a truly unique venue for your next birthday, wedding, corporate party, or other special event. We have rooms that can accommodate 40-100 people or you may rent the entire facility. A non-refundable $50 deposit is required to hold your date. Call 815-895-9777 for more info.

Classroom
  • Size: 28 x 24 foot carpeted room with 9 foot ceiling
  • Seating: Tables and chairs for 36
  • Amenities: Ceiling mount projector and laptop, DVD/VHS player with audio
  • Accessibility: up a small flight of stairs, so this room is not wheelchair accessible
  • Cost, during museum hours: $25/hr room rental, plus $5/ person
  • Cost, after museum hours: $25/hr room rental, plus $25/hour staffing and building use fee. Does not include access to main exhibit hall.

Oasis Room

  • Size: 40 x 28 foot, tiled floor room with 8 foot ceiling
  • Seating: Cafeteria/bench style seating for 60 adults or 80 children; table and chair seating for an additional 16-20
  • Amenities: Wireless microphone system, hand-held and lapel mics, Portable digital projector and laptop (no audio), adjoining small kitchenette with serving window, water, refrigerator, freezer, coffee pots, microwave
  • Accessibility: elevator or stair access
  • Cost, during museum hours: $50/hr room rental, plus $5/person
  • Cost, after museum hours: $50/hr room rental, plus $25/hour staffing and building use fee. Does not include access to main exhibit hall.
