Sensory Saturday

Enjoy a sensory friendly morning of hands-on exploration and discovery. We understand that some children may have sensory processing needs in order to have a great museum experience. So, we are opening the doors of the Midwest Museum of Natural History one hour early, from 9-10 am, to meet the needs of those families. Registration will be capped at 15 guests so that families can enjoy a crowd-free space. There will be tactile and sensory opportunities to help ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Please be mindful that this event is designed for individuals with disabilities and sensory processing needs; siblings and family members are welcome to attend. If you are interested in learning more or if you’d like to register your family for a Sensory Saturday, please call 815.895.9777
