Rebuilding Homes for the Wild

Rebuilding Homes for the Wild will focus on habitat and its importance for all living things. The program will outline what habitat is and highlight where you can find different plants and animals and in what habitat in DeKalb County!

The program will also talk about habitat restoration and what the goals are when restoring landscapes. This will include; how scientists begin to restore land, what kinds of tools are used, and what are the major obstacles. Throughout the program, participants will also learn how they can contribute to restoration and / or provide resources for native plants and animals in their own backyard. Finally, to conclude the discussion, participants will be involved in a hands-on activity relevant to plants, animals, habitat, or habitat restoration.
