BIRTHDAY PARTIES

The Midwest Museum of Natural History is a truly unique venue for your next birthday, meeting, baby shower, corporate party, or other special event! We have rooms that can accommodate up to 60 people or you may rent the entire facility.

Admission for your guests is included in your rental fee for the time of the rental. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date, and any balance is due the day of your event.

We offer two birthday party plans: each is two hours long and allows access to the party room 30 minutes before the party’s start time.

STANDARD BIRTHDAY PACKAGE
This is a perfect option for parents who want to run their own activities, but need a fun space. It includes Museum admission, a two-hour rental of the Oasis Room, a tour of the main gallery, and invitations for 15 people.

  • $150 for up to 15 people (kids or adults), birthday boy/girl is free

  • Additional guests: $5 each (kid or adult)

  • Additional room time: $25 per 30 minutes (including extra set up or take down time)

PREMIUM BIRTHDAY PACKAGE
This option lets you take it easy while a MMNH staff member handle the activities. The first hour includes a tour, a craft OR animal masks, a scavenger hunt, a live animal presentation, and invitations and goodie bags for 15 people. The second hour is yours for food, presents, or your own activities in the Oasis Room or around the Museum.

  • $250 for up to 15 people (kids or adults), birthday boy/girl is free

  • Additional guests: $5 each (kid or adult)

  • Additional room time: $25 per 30 minutes (including extra set up or take down time)

ADD-ONS

Customizable Add-Ons are available for both party option!. Create a unique experience by adding on various activities.

  • Live Animal Meet & Greet: $50/30 minutes

  • Scavenger hunt: $15

  • Goodie Bags: $3/each

  • Craft: $2/each

  • Animal Masks: $2/each

  • Safari Hats: $2/each

RENTALS & MEETING SPACE

OASIS ROOM

  • Size: 40 x 30', tiled floor with 8' ceiling

  • Seating: Table and chair seating for 40, with additional chairs available

  • Amenities: Wireless microphone system, projector and laptop, and adjoining serving space

  • Accessibility: Elevator Access

  • Cost during museum hours is $50/hr

  • Cost after museum hours is $50/hr along with an initial $100 flat fee
